Wedding Reception

Wedding Receptions are now increasingly

less formal as more and more couples turn

their backs on the traditional (and often

expensive) catered wedding receptions.

Consequently couples are now coming up

with more innovative and individual

wedding recpetion ideas.

More are more people are now having

alternative weddings to make there day

even more memorable. I have come across

couples getting married whilst sky-diving,

underwater weddings (including the

reception) and even outer space.

Getting married abroad has never been easier. This takes away a lot of the planning and stress which can be associated the big day, and can easily double as a stag/hen night and a honeymoon all rolled into one!

Obviously if you choose an outdoor reception, you will need to have a contingency plan if bad weather should occur.

You can have a great wedding reception with a little planning and budgeting. The normal budget for a wedding reception should be about 30% of your wedding costs. Usually the most expensive cost of a wedding reception is the rental of the venue, flowers and decorations, and food service.

Another popular reception is the theme-based reception. Wedding Reception themes are a great way to personalize your reception. Reception themes can be based on your personality,or around particular hobies, sports or interests that you both enjoy.

The options are endless for planning a theme-based reception and there are plenty of resources on the internet and specialist compaines that can help plan and implement your perfect wedding reception.

Whichever you choose for your wedding reception, keep it simple, keep a sense of humor, and enjoy your special day.
